Last updated: July 6, 2026

Preds des Cantons de l’Est values the protection of personal information. This policy explains what information may be collected through our website, why it is collected, who it may be shared with, how long it may be retained, and how you can exercise your rights.

This policy applies to information submitted through the website form, by email, or while using the website.

1. Organization and Privacy Officer

Privacy OfficerEmail : predscantonsdelest@gmail.com

The organization responsible for the information collected through this website is Preds des Cantons de l’Est.

You may use this address to ask a question about this policy, request access to or correction of personal information, withdraw consent where permitted by law, or submit a privacy complaint.

2. Information We Collect

When you complete the form, we may collect:

Please do not include medical or financial information, identity documents, or other sensitive information in the message field.

  • the contact person’s name;
  • their email address;
  • their phone number, if provided;
  • the player’s name;
  • the player’s birth year;
  • the player’s position;
  • the player’s current team and level, if provided;
  • any message added to the form;
  • confirmation of consent.

3. Technical Information

When you visit the website, certain technical information may be processed automatically by your browser, the hosting provider, or security services. This may include the IP address, browser and device type, the date and time of the request, requested pages or files, and information needed to prevent abuse.

The public page URL determines whether French or English content is displayed. This choice is not used for advertising profiling.

4. How Information Is Collected

Information is collected:

  • when you complete the website form;
  • when you submit the form or email the published address directly;
  • automatically, to a limited extent, through the website’s hosting and security infrastructure.

5. Why We Use It

Information is used only for purposes reasonably connected to the program, including:

Personal information must not be sold or used for behavioural advertising.

  • responding to your inquiry;
  • communicating with the player, parent, guardian, or authorized contact person;
  • assessing initial interest and general program eligibility;
  • providing the next steps;
  • organizing application follow-up;
  • preventing spam, abuse, and security incidents;
  • operating, maintaining, and improving the technical functioning of the website;
  • complying with applicable legal obligations.

6. Who May Access It

Access to inquiries must be limited to authorized people who need the information to process applications or administer the program, which may include certain owners, administrative staff, or authorized coaching staff.

Technology service providers may also process certain information only to provide their services, subject to their terms and applicable safeguards.

7. Service Providers

The site may use the following providers:

Cloudflare

Cloudflare infrastructure processes form transmission, Turnstile anti-spam verification, and the technical delivery of inquiries.

Gmail

Form inquiries are received in a Gmail inbox managed by the program so that requests can be answered.

Google Fonts

The website currently loads certain fonts through Google Fonts. When these resources are loaded, Google may receive technical information related to the request, such as the IP address and browser or device information.

Anti-Spam Verification

The website uses an invisible honeypot field and Cloudflare Turnstile to reduce automated submissions.

8. Processing Outside Quebec

Some technology providers may process or store information outside Quebec, depending on the location of their infrastructure and subcontractors.

When personal information is communicated outside Quebec, the Preds must take the measures required by law, including assessing privacy factors and appropriately governing the service provider.

9. Retention and Deletion

Inquiries are kept only as long as needed to respond to the request and provide appropriate follow-up, then deleted in a reasonably secure manner, subject to applicable obligations.

When a player is selected or enrolled, necessary information may be transferred to the player’s administrative record and retained according to the rules applying to that record.

Technical logs and copies held by service providers may follow their own retention periods. The Preds must limit retention and regularly delete submissions that are no longer needed.

10. Security Measures

The Preds use reasonable measures appropriate to the nature of the information to reduce the risks of unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

These measures may include limiting access, using HTTPS connections, anti-spam protection, access controls for accounts, and deleting information that is no longer required.

Despite these measures, no Internet transmission or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely risk-free.

11. Cookies, Local Storage, and Tracking Tools

The website currently does not use advertising analytics, marketing pixels, or personalized advertising systems.

The public page URL determines whether French or English content is displayed. This choice is not used for profiling.

Loading external resources such as Google Fonts may still create technical requests to the relevant provider.

The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to verify that an inquiry comes from a legitimate visitor. No personal information is sold.

12. Minors and Information About Another Person

The form may be completed by the player, a parent, a guardian, or another authorized person.

If you provide information about another person, you confirm that you are authorized to do so and should avoid providing information that is not necessary.

13. Your Rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request:

To exercise a right, email predscantonsdelest@gmail.com. A response will be provided within the time required by law, generally within 30 days after a sufficiently specific request is received.

  • access to personal information held about you;
  • correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • information about how it has been used or communicated;
  • withdrawal of consent for future uses where applicable;
  • deletion when the information is no longer required, subject to legal obligations;
  • the handling of a complaint about the protection of your information.

14. Complaints

Privacy complaints should be sent to the Privacy Officer at predscantonsdelest@gmail.com.

Include your name, contact information, a description of the situation, and the result you are seeking. The request will be reviewed confidentially to the extent possible.

If you are not satisfied with the handling of your request, you may contact the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.

15. Privacy Incidents

If a privacy incident affects personal information, the Preds must take reasonable steps to reduce the risks and prevent a similar incident from happening again. Where required by law, affected individuals and the Commission d’accès à l’information will be notified.

16. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated to reflect changes to the website, form, service providers, or applicable requirements.

The last updated date will appear at the beginning of the page. When a material change affects how information is collected, used, or disclosed, an appropriate notice must be published.
